Synopsis

In accordance with the syllabus for the course “History of the State and Law of Ukraine,” and based on the latest achievements in Ukrainian and international historical and legal scholarship, this textbook provides a concise overview of the main stages in the formation and evolution of the state system, law, the judiciary, and judicial proceedings in Ukraine from ancient times to the present.
The author’s intention was to develop study guides that would, on the one hand, incorporate fundamental and comprehensive material and, on the other hand, help students quickly—and, most importantly, thoroughly—master knowledge of Ukrainian state and legal development.
